Winning the Lottery
Have you ever entertained the daydream of "what if I won the lottery?" How would I spend the money? How would it change my life? I could build by my dream home. I could travel the world ...start a business...send my child to the best school. I could quit my job.
There are almost 200 countries in the world. Billions of people live in extreme poverty in countries that offer no education and no way out of their circumstances. In some countries citizens are prohibited to practice any religion other than the one designated by the government. To practice another is a crime, often punishable by prison or death.
I don't play the lottery. I am not a gambler. But even so I don't need to play the lottery. I won the lottery in 1963, the day I was born in the United States of America. I am in awe every day that I could be so blessed.

I, too, was single for a lot of years, but so desired to marry. I married late in life. Married life has its problms, too. I see your blogs are all very different. I like the one about the dreams and about what America is made of.

I agree that we are so blessed more than we can imagine here in this country. I think we take too many things for granted and under appreciate all we have. It's never enough because we live in a society where bigger is better. If we all could just give a little, things would be so different in our world.
